Amharic for Hope.

While I made the photobook "Don’t Make Me Look Like the Kids on TV," I also documented my father’s physical health and the physical therapy my uncle would have him doing when we were stuck in the confinement of the home we rented out in Ethiopia. When it comes to my father’s sickness, I often tell others that I use photography to show my father his true reality, but now I’m wondering if I use photography as a barrier between me and my father’s reality.
